2020 Easter Eggs-Travaganza CANCELLED

Every year the City of Lytle hosts an egg hunt for the children of the city and surrounding area on the Saturday before Easter. Every year the Easter Bunny makes an appearance to hand out candy and prizes. The egg hunt is held at John Lott Municipal Park on the baseball fields. Kids are divided up based on their age. The Easter Egg Hunt is for children ages 1 thru 8. Along with an egg hunt the kids are entered into raffle drawings for Easter prizes.

AT THE URGING OF THE CITY’S EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT TEAM THE EVENT FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 11TH (THE EASTER TREAT DRIVE-THRU) HAS BEEN POSTPONED. WE HAVE HAD SOMEONE TEST POSITIVE IN THE LYTLE AREA, SO WE WOULD BE PUTTING THE VOLUNTEERS AT A HIGHER RISK, AS WELL AS THE PEOPLE COMING TO THIS EVENT. ALSO, WE ARE ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO STAY AT HOME, AND THEN WE WOULD BE ENCOURAGING THEM TO COME OUT, WHICH WOULD SEND OUT A MIXED MESSAGE. WHEN THIS HORRIBLE TIME (COVID-19 PANDEMIC) IS BEHIND US, WE WILL DO THIS EVENT UP EVEN BETTER. PLEASE STAY HOME AND STAY SAFE.

The 2020 event scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2020 HAS BEEN CANCELLED. Registration starts at 1:00 p.m. and egg hunt starts at 2:00 p.m.
