The City of Lytle’s Animal Care and Control program is dedicated to protecting public health and safety while promoting the humane treatment of animals within the community. The department works to balance the needs of residents, domestic animals, and local wildlife by enforcing city ordinances, providing safe shelter for stray and unwanted animals, and supporting responsible pet ownership. Our Animal Care & Control facility opened January 30, 2010. We encourage all residents, organizations, and animal lovers to stop by our facility at 17971 West FM 2790 South, or visit with us at one of our events, and meet our wonderful Animal Care & Control staff! Animal Care and Control services help ensure a safe, healthy, and compassionate community. By reducing stray populations, preventing the spread of disease, and encouraging responsible ownership, the program supports both animal welfare and the quality of life for Lytle residents.
