Overview

The pavilion, located at 19010 Live Oak St., was constructed in 1977 when the park was built, and was designed for people to hold parties, dances, concerts, etc. The pavilion has a stage and restrooms and has a total of over 4,000 square feet of covered area for these functions.
The pavilion at John Lott Municipal Park was named in honor of Juan J. Garcia, Sr. The Lytle City Council voted on November 12, 2007 to name the pavilion for Mr. Garcia after his sudden death in October, 2007. Mr. Garcia had served as an Alderman for the city from 1989 to 2003, and had been instrumental in getting additions made to the pavilion, and having made other improvements to the park during his tenure. The pavilion was dedicated on April 5, 2008 with the unveiling of the plaque by Mrs. Juan J. Garcia, Sr. and their two sons, Juan, Jr. and Gabriel.
